The National Geospatial Intelligence Agency intends to award a contract on a sole source basis to General Dynamics for four (4) General Dynamics TACLANE-Micro Encryption Devices, Part #KG-175D w/five (5) year warranties and three (3) General Dynamics GigE TACLANE Encryptors, Part # KG-175A for use in the Communications Security Program in Bethesda, MD. These Inline Network Encryptors (INEâs) are required for use with existing units to protect classified information transmitted through military and government networks. INEâs are Internet Protocol (IP) data encryption devices that provide data confidentiality and integrity across LANs and WANs certified by the National Security Agency (NSA) to protect information classified Top Secret Codeword and below. The NAICS code is 517919. General Dynamics is the only company certified and authorized by the National Security Agency to sell this equipment and with the capability to maintain this equipment. Authority for this sole source procurement is under 10 U.S.C. 2403(c)(1) as implemented in FAR 6.302-1. Firms that recognize that they can perform the required services described above are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Officer, and provide supporting evidence to the Contracting Officer within three (3) calendar days after the date of publication. The final determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based on any information provided is solely within the discretion of the Government.
