The purpose of this announcement is to advertise that the Government intends to add the below NSNs onto contract SPM750-01-D-9710. The addition of these NSNs follow the terms of the original basic contract in Section H Addition/Deletion of Items on Schedule, paragraph three, letter "b." Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) developed a logistics support concept in conjunction with General Dynamics Land Systems (GDLS) to maintain support and repair of the Abram Tanks and the Wolverine. All items are sole source to GDLS and fall within the aforementioned contract scope. There will be no separate solicitation issued for this action. Specifications, plans, or drawings are not available.
One or more of the items under this acquisition may be subject to Agreement on Government Procurement approved and implemented in the Unites States by the Trade Agreements Act of 1979. All offers shall be in the English language and in U.S. Dollars. All interested suppliers may submit an offer.
The proposed contract action is for the supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item with 15 days of this notice.
