The City of Reading is seeking bids for Gaseous Chlorine for the Waste Water Treatment Plant of the City of Reading, Pennsylvania. An electronic bid, shall be submitted via the PennBid Program (www.pennbid.net). Bids shall be received until 3:00 P.M., prevailing time, on December 18, 2019. Bids received after the hour specified will not be considered. Specifications and Proposal Forms for the above work can be downloaded on the PennBid website – www.pennbid.net. Each Bid shall be accompanied by bid surety in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid. A certified check or bid bond will be accepted. The City of Reading reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, and to accept or reject any part of a bid that may not be in the public interest. The quantity of material covered by these specifications shall be the requirements for the City of Reading Wastewater Treatment Plant per calendar year and will amount to approximately 100,000 pounds, more or less, which will be supplied in one (1) ton containers. The vendor shall also supply lead washers as requested at no additional charge.
