PURPOSE
The U.S. Mission in Ghana has the requirement for the providing of Gardening Services at the U.S. Embassy in Accra (Complexes).
The U.S. Embassy Accra issues this notice with the intent of giving an opportunity to all interested parties to appropriately prepare for the anticipated Request for Quotation (RFQ) for Gardening Services.
This is not a request for proposal; this is for pre-solicitation / informational purposes only. No award will be made on the basis of responses received to this notice.
PROPOSED C ONTRACT ACTION
The Contractor shall provide required services as described herein.
Accordingly, the U.S. Embassy Accra plans the issuance of the following solicitation (RFQ):
1. RFQ reference number: SGH100-15-Q-0001
2. RFQ Title: Gardening Services for the U.S. Mission in Accra, Ghana
3. RFQ issuance date: To be determined.
4. RFQ issuance method: Electronic RFQ distribution through the U.S. Embassy web site at http://ghana.usembassy.gov/contract_opportunities.html and through Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) at www.fbo.gov . All responsible sources holding appropriate permits may submit a proposal in response to the RFQ, to be considered by U.S. Embassy Accra.
5. RFQ response date: To be determined.
6. Award date: To be determined.
7. Award type: Firm Fixed-Price type contract.
8. Award procedures: In accordance with FAR 15.3 Source Selection.
9. Duration of contract period: a base period of twelve months and four (4) twelve-months periods at the option of the U.S. Government.
10. Place of performance: U.S. Embassy in Accra, Ghana
11. Special contract requirements:
- The Contractor shall possess all permits, licenses, and any other appointments required for the prosecution of work under this contract.
The U.S. Embassy Accra plans to hold a site visit for Contractors. Interested parties are reminded that information furnished hereunder may be subject to disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). Therefore, all items that are confidential to business, or contain trade secrets, proprietary, or personnel information must be clearly marked. Marking of items will not necessarily preclude disclosure when the U.S. Embassy Accra determines disclosure is warranted by FOIA. However, if such items are not marked, all information contained within the submitted documents will be deemed releasable.
