This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation: Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular dated March 30, 2009. The applicable North American Industry Classification is 441221: size standard is 7 million, 500 employees. General Information The intent of this solicitation is to obtain quotes to purchase seven (7) 2009 Trail Motorcycles and three (3) 2009 4-Wheelers (ATVs). All vehicles offered shall be serviceable within 175 miles of Bozeman Montana. Contractor shall provide literature on models offered with quotation. There is also a requirement that the contractor accept trade-ins of 12 motorcycles, 2 ATVs and 1 UTV. Contractor shall be required to pick up trade-ins at the Bozeman Ranger Distirct. The Motorcycles and ATVS shall be delivered to the Bozeman Ranger District, 3710 Fallon Street Suite C, Bozeman, MT 59718 by June 30, 2009. Delivery is F.O.B. Destination. Six speed gearbox and low gearing ratio suitable for safer off road and trail riding. 4. 9+ inch travel in both front and rear suspension for better handling on rough trails. 5. 11+ inches of ground clearance to avoid impact and possible damage and injury from rocks and obstacles on trails and hidden obstacles immediately adjacent to trails that may impact a low clearance foot peg, causing possible injury and crash. 6. Standard width, off-road, knobby tires for safe, improved traction in adverse conditions on trails and gravel roads. 7. Seat height between 33-35 inches allows for safe and improved vehicle control on trails. 8. A light curb or wet-weight of approximately 250 pounds or less allows for safer handling characteristics and safer loading/unloading. 9.
