This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This request is being issued as Request for Quotation P11PS14679. The Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) clauses and provisions enclosed within are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-53. FAR clauses and provisions are available through Internet access at http://www.acquisition.gov/far. This is 100% set aside for small business and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The Government anticipates making a single award for this solicitation, vendors must quote on all items for their quote to be considered. The following is a description of the requirements for this acquisition. Gabion baskets (one foot or greater in vertical dimension) of twisted galvanized steel wire forming a uniform hexagonal pattern with non-raveling double twists. All baskets shall conform to ASTM A975-97. Wire shall be a nominal-sized 0.12 inch or greater diameter. The perimeter edges of the mesh for each panel shall be tied to a 0.15 inch or greater diameter selvedge wire, at least the same length as the body of the mesh, and from the same type of wire as the mesh. Baskets shall retain rock of a minimum dimension of four (4) inches.
