STATEMENT OF WORKPROTESTANT GOSPEL WORSHIP SERVICE CHOIR DIRECTOR POSITION: 1200 Gospel Worship Service Choir Director 1. DEFINITION OF SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED: The choir director will be required to: a. Direct the adult choir in the performance of various types of special music, in conjunction with regular worship services and major Christian seasonal celebration. b. Select and lead in the performance of choir anthem for weekly worship service as coordinated with the sponsoring chaplain. c. Direct, lead and arrange weekly choir rehearsal. Possess experience in introducing hymns, spirituals and gospel music. d. Arrange rehearsals and performances of special music, i.e. soloist, duets, quartets, and etc. Actively recruit choir members. e. Perform other duties for the service as deemed appropriate or necessary including the management, cleaning and inventory of choir robes. f. Request the ordering of music scores and music supplies as needed that reflects the order of worship. 2. SCHEDULE OR SERVICES TO BE PERFORMED: Services shall be performed at the Moody Chapel Center, building 5120, and at other locations on Moody Air Force Base upon request. Contractor will perform duties every Sunday during the worship service and at weekly rehearsals. 3. STAFF RELATIONS: The contractor will coordinate all services performed, as defined in this statement of work, with the sponsoring chaplain, or in his/her absence, the Senior Faith or Wing Chaplain. Choir Director must work well with the chapel staff and promote a spirit of cooperation and unity. The sponsoring chaplain will certify all services provided by this contract. The contractor will ensure the Wing Chaplain or his/her delegated representative IAW 347 RQW/HC Operating Instructions approves all requests for chaplain funds and/or facility usage. 4. SUBSTITUTE PERSONNEL: When the contractor is unable to perform contracted duties, he/she will provide advance notice of a suitable substitute who meets the qualifications of this SOW. 5. QUALIFICATIONS: The choir director must be qualified in the performance of Christian music. Qualifications should include but are not limited to: the ability to read music scores, two or more years of experience as a choir director, or degree in music. 6. CALL/TASK ORDER: A. Each call/task order shall be issued on a monthly basis B. Each call consist of monthly services to include, weekly practices And Sunday services C. Additional services maybe necessary and shall be issued on a separate call/task order
