INVITATION FOR BIDS Sealed bids for the FY2023 Microsurfacing Project will be received by the City of Clayton, Department of Public Works, 10 N. Bemiston Avenue, Clayton, MO 63105, until 2:00 PM , on Friday March 10, 2023. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately following, in City Hall Council Chamber, 2nd floor, 10 N. Bemiston Avenue, Clayton, MO 63105. The Scope of Work consists of installing microsurfacing to existing pavement surface, including` streets in the Country Club Place/Polo, Clayshire, Clayton Gardens, and Westmoreland (One lift @ 18 lbs/SY) and Carondelet Plaza (Two lifts @ 15 lbs/SY). Additional pay items will include pavement markings and traffic control. Add alternate bids are being solicited for concrete base repair and alkalai resistant glass reinforcing fibers. Other incidental items shall be included as shown in the specifications. Bid packages will be available February 13, 2023 for download by requesting the documents here. A prebid meeting will be held on February 22, 2023 at 9:00 AM in City Hall Council Chamber, 2nd floor, 10 N. Bemiston Avenue, Clayton, MO 63105. Attendance is mandatory for your bid to be considered. Not less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages shall be paid to all workers performing under this Contract in this area according to the rates determined by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations of the State of Missouri. A bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount must accompany each bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. THE CITY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO ACCEPT OR REJECT ANY BID AND TO WAIVE ANY IRREGULARITIES IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE CITY.
