AG-0202-S-16-0002 is issued as a request for quotation. The Government will award the contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose quote will be Best Value to the Government. USDA-ARS, Aberdeen, ID USA is seeking a FY2016 Winter Nursery in the southern hemisphere approximate Latitude: 43 degrees South, Longitude 172 degrees East, in the area of Irwell, New Zealand. Winter Nursery FY2016 is to advance generations of barley germplasm. USDA-ARS will provide seed. Specifications are as follows:
1. Must meet our planting and harvesting dates.
2. Must be located in a country that is conducive to seed import/export requirements.
3. Must have a proven track record of seed purity.
4. Must have proper climate to meet our planting target dates.
5. Must plant and properly maintain approximately 500 barley lines as 2.5m c rows; and harvesting all 500 lines as bulks, provide seed cleaning, package and ship winter nursery seeds to USDA-ARS, Aberdeen, Idaho 83210 USA.
6. Quote must include LAX Clearance and handling fees, and shipping charges to USDA-ARS, 1691 S 2700 W, Aberdeen, Idaho 83210 USA.
