USDA-ARS, Aberdeen, ID is seeking a FY2014 Winter Nursery in the southern hemisphere approximately: Latitude: 43 degrees South, Longitude 172 degrees East, in the area of Irwell, New Zealand. Winter Nursery FY2014 is to advance generations of barley germplasm. USDA-ARS will provide seed. Specifications are as follows:
1. Must meet our planting and harvesting dates.
2. Must be located in a country that is conducive to seed import/export requirements.
3. Must have a proven track record of seed purity.
4. Must have proper climate to meet our planting target dates.
5. Must plant and properly maintain approximately 400 rows; harvest, provide seed cleaning, package and ship winter nursery seeds to USDA-ARS, Aberdeen, Idaho 83210 USA.
