The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District Office requires a contract for: FY20 Matagorda Ship Channel,   Matagorda Peninsula to Point Comfort Texas, Pipeline Maintenance Dredging, Matagorda and Calhoun Counties, Texas.

Schedule 1 consists of maintenance dredging the Matagorda Ship Channel of approximately 2.4 Million Cubic Yards of Material. Option 1 is for an additional 1 Million Cubic Yards and Option 2 provides for dredging the Calhoun Port Authority Docks.

Period of Performance is 142 days. 62 days will be added to this if Option 1 is exercised and 15 additional days if Option 2 is exercised. Production rate is expected to be approximately 750,000 CY/ Month.

If the contractor fails to complete the work within the time specified, the contractor shall pay liquidated damages to the Government in the amount of $2,690.00 for each calendar day of delay until the work is completed or accepted.

The Solicitation will be Issued on or about 16 April 2020. Response date will be on or about 16 May 2020 (All bids must be submitted electronically per Section 00 21 00 of the solicitation).

The estimated award date for this contract is projected to be on or about the week of 23 June 2020.

The contractor will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds within (5) calendar days after award.  Contractor will be required to furnish Pre-Award documents within 5 days after Bid Opening. The contractor shall begin Work within (10) calendar days after acknowledgement of the Notice to Proceed.

The Solicitation issued will be Firm Fixed Price. The order of magnitude for this effort is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00.

The solicitation is advertised as “UNRESTRICTED” full & open competition to both large and small businesses. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this project is 237990. The Small Business Size Standard is $30 Million.
