INVITATION FOR BIDS Sealed bids for the FY2020 Microsurfacing Project will be received by the City of Clayton, Department of Public Works, 10 N. Bemiston Avenue, Clayton, MO 63105, until 2:00 PM , on Tuesday March 31, 2020. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately following, in City Hall Conference Room A/B, 1st floor, 10 N. Bemiston Avenue, Clayton, MO 63105. The Scope of Work consists of reconstructing selected curb ramps to ADA standards and application of microsurfacing to existing pavement surface. Additional pay items will include pavement markings, pedestrian pushbutton upgrades, and traffic control. Other incidental items shall be included as shown in the specifications. Bid packages will be available March 3, 2020 by requesting the documents here. A prebid meeting will be held on March 17, 2020 at 10:00 AM in Conference Room A/B, 1st floor, Clayton City Hall, 10 N. Bemiston Avenue, Clayton, MO 63105. Not less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages shall be paid to all workers performing under this Contract in this area according to the rates determined by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations of the State of Missouri. A bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount must accompany each bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and to waive any irregularities in the best interest of the City.
