The purpose of this update is to provide additional information discovered through questions asked & answered.

1.) What will be the business use/softwares needed to run?

Various types of software and use to conduct official US Navy Research Development Test & Evaluation(RDT&E).

2.) For the laptops, what screen size? Touch screen or non-touchscreen?

17.3" requested.

3.) For the desktops, are you wanting wired or wireless mosue/keyboard?

Wired mouse/keyboard required.

4.) What is the preferred processor?

Laptops: Intel® Core™ Processor i9-9880H (8 Core, 16MB Cache, 2.30GHz up to 4.80GHz Turbo, 45W, vPro)

Desktops: Intel® Core™ i9-9900 (8 Core/16MB/16T/up to 5.0GHz/65W; supports Windows 10/Linux)

5.) What base warranty are you looking for?

We are looking for the base manufacturer's warranty plus 3 & 5 year ProSupport Next Business Day Onsite Service available from the manufacturers.

6.) Are you wanting NVME or SSD? No NVME comes standard with these desktop systems?

NVME is required, we were able to find builds that meet these salient characteristics from the manufacturers.

7.) Desktops, TPM, can you please describe?

Trusted Platform Module, this is required for encrypting the hard drive.

8.) Desktops, Optical disk drive seems to be discontinued, is this required?

Optical disk drive is required.

9.) Laptops, Is something with a webcam acceptable as everything we find has them?

These can be purchased directly from the manufacturer without webcams. We will not accept any laptops with webcams.

10.) What is Virtualization Support IOMMU?

This is the standard input output memory between virtualization and hardward host memory and is required.

11.) Please explain credential & device guard?

This is a capability in the BIOS and is required by STIG

12.) Please describe the 3 & 5 year ProSupport Plus Next Business Day Onsite Service?

This is offered by the manufacturer and is required.

1.)  For the laptop, we found the i9 processor isnt available, is there a Xeon option that will be acceptable?

i9 or Xeon W-10885M processor are acceptable.
