The U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center, Small Boat Product Line, is seeking qualified sources that can provide the various Furuno electronics in support of the Scalable Integrated Navigation System (SINS) package, depth finders, and other electronic systems, including and not limited to all parts, components and equipment for Furuno electronic parts installed on various Coast Guard small boats. It is the Government’s belief that only Furuno USA Inc., the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), or their authorized distributors possess the required capabilities to manufacture these parts to ensure compatibility and interchangeability with existing equipment, therefore it is the Government’s intent to solicit only Furuno USA Inc. electronic parts and or their authorized distributors. However, sources having the expertise and required capabilities to provide this equipment can submit their capabilities to this office within 15 calendar days from the date of this notice. Data submitted must include, (1) Complete and current technical and engineering data to demonstrate offeror capabilities, (i.e., salient physical, functional and performance characteristics), and/or, (2) Data that the offered equipment has been satisfactorily manufactured for the Government, or the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). The information submitted must include sufficient information to evaluate offeror capabilities. The Government does not intend to pay for information solicited. Information received after the established deadline shall not be considered. This synopsis is issued pursuant to FAR 6.302-1.
