REQUEST A BID PACKAGE Date Issued: January 22, 2020 Bid # 040-40 Sealed proposals from vendors will be received by the Purchasing Division of the Hall County Board of Commissioners, at 2875 Browns Bridge Road, 4th Floor, Gainesville, GA 30504, until 3:00 P.M. legally prevailing time on Thursday, February 13, 2020, for Furnish & Install Standing Seam Roof for Fire Training Center Hall County Board of Commissioners is soliciting submissions from qualified Contractors for the replacement of the roof of the Fire Training Center located at 2801 Allen Creek Road, Gainesville, GA 30507. After the time and in a designated room and place, the names of the Companies submitting proposals will be publicly read. No further information will be read, discussed, or provided until the evaluation of all submittals is completed. No extension of the bidding period will be made other than by a formal written addendum to this IFB. Any proposals received after the date and time listed above will not be accepted. Proposal submittal documents may be obtained by going to our Bids & Proposals website at http://www.hallcounty.org/Bids.aspx, then select the bid titled âFurnish & Install Standing Seam Roof for Fire Training Centerâ, click on âRequest a Bid Packageâ, fill out the requested information, click âSubmitâ, and this will send an automatic request to our office. This is the only official release site for this request for proposals or any addenda that may be issued for same. A Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference/Site Inspection will be conducted at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, February 5, 2020. The meeting will be located at the Hall County Fire Training Center, 2801 Allen Creek Road, Gainesville, GA 30507. Directions may be obtained from the Purchasing Office at 770-535-8270. Attendance of this meeting is mandatory for bid acceptance eligibility. Only bidders in attendance for the entire meeting will be allowed to bid on the project. The successful bidders shall provide insurance in the amount of at least one million dollars ($1,000,000.00) as required by Paragraph 16 of the âTerms and Conditionsâ of these documents. A Bid Bond in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid must be submitted with each bid. Failure to supply the Bid Bond will force your bid to be declared nonresponsive. The successful bidder shall also be required to provide a 100% Payment and a 100% Performance Bond at the signing of the contract. Failure to supply bonds will result in default of contract. Contract, if awarded, will be on a lump sum basis or individual site basis, whichever is in the best interest of the County. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after time has been called on the date of opening. Firms should submit four (5) copies of the bid; one (1) marked as âOriginalâ and four (4) marked as âCopyâ. Your submittal must have a signature in its âOriginalâ response. Failure to sign your bid in the proper space provided on Part II of Bid or provide a completed S.A.V.E. Program/E-Verify Affidavit will force your bid to be declared as ânon-responsiveâ and not be considered for award. This written proposal documents supersede any verbal or written prior communications between the parties. The County reserves the right to retain all proposals submitted and use any idea(s) in a proposal regardless of whether that proposal is selected. The Commissioners reserve the right to reject any or all bids, in whole or part, to waive technicalities and informalities or to select any bidder to complete the described Work. Award of Contract will not be solely based on low bid, but also on quality, references and other subjective criteria as the County may deem necessary and as the County may determine at its sole discretion.
