The U. S. Government Publishing Office (GPO) intends to issue a sole source contract in accordance with MMAR 6.302-1 to Plate Fuji LHPJ 790 X 1030 X 0.3 and Fuji Plate LHPJ 1006 X 1308 X 0.3 and Fuji Plate 1283 X 953 X 0.3 Fuji Film North America Corp. P.O. Box 200308 Pittsburgh, PA 15251-0308, to procure Plates.  The GPO has Identified only one source that could meet our requirement.  Due to immediate need of this critical item and to maintain GPO's inventory lever there isnot adequate time to test, approve and manufacture this product to meet our delivery schedule.  GPO will seek other sources to meet our requirements in the future.

Under the authority - Citations: 41 U.S.C. 5(3) Pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a)(ii) "Only one known responsible source will satisfy agency requirements",for this critical product.  This notice is not a request for proposals nor a solicitation of offers.  A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis is solely at the discretion of the Government.  Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.  All responses shall be sent to Contracting Officer Carol B.
