I. PURPOSE The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Northwest Mountain Region, is requesting quotes for supply of an estimated 1,000 gallons of Liquid Petroleum (LP) to be delivered to the FAA facility at Sunny Hay Mountain in Alaska. All interested vendors are advised that the FAA will not pay for any information or any administrative costs incurred that are associated with any response received from industry in response to this Request for Quote. II. SET-ASIDE INFORMATION This procurement is a total set-aside for small business concerns II. SCOPE OF WORK The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Northwest Mountain Region, intends to solicit and award a firm-fixed price Purchase Order to deliver approximately 1,000 gallons of LP Gas (Propane) from a portable tank via helicopter to Sunny Hay Mountain in Alaska. The vendor is to furnish all labor and equipment to perform services, including but not limited to, labor, equipment rental (bobtail, flatbed, pump, hose, etc.) and helicopter services. NAICS Code: 424720, Petroleum and Petroleum Products Merchant Wholesalers (except Bulk Stations and Terminals) which has a SBA size standard of 100 employees. Anticipated delivery date is early to mid-April, 2013. III. GENERAL INFORMATION Prospective offerors are hereby notified that employees of Acentia, a private contractor to the Government, may be used in evaluating offers received under this SIR. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has programs to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT short Term receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
