Government requires an off-the-shelf fringe projection topographic measurement system specifically designed for measuring surface topography of metal powder and solid layers during the fabrication process within a NIST-owned industrial LPBF additive manufacturing machine (EOS M290). The fringe projection surface topography measurement system should consist of all required hardware (e.g., camera, projector, mounting, data acquisition) and software, integrated with and installed on an existing industrial AM machine at NIST, to enable acquisition of topological data during the AM part fabrication.
