Any award following this Request for Proposal will be a subcontract under Prime Contract No. DE-AC02-76SF00515 between the University and the United States Government (hereinafter called "Government"), represented by the Department of Energy (hereinafter called "DOE") for the management and operation of the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory (hereinafter called "SLAC") and the performance of certain research and development work. The Blanket Order Agreement will be for an initial one year term with two (one) 1 year options. It is University's expectation that the new subcontract will be awarded by March 21, 2012.

Reference contained throughout the RFP to "Government" shall mean "DOE." References made to "SLAC," the "Laboratory," the "Contractor," "or "SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory," shall mean the "University." References made to "Seller", "Subcontractor," "Proposer," or "Bank" will mean "Offeror."
