This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation is attached. The solicitation number is AG-0521-S-17-0012 and is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ).  The acquisition is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS code is 334516, business size standard is 1000.This solicitation document incorporates those provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-95. The Government intends to issue a firm-fixed price service contract for this requirement.

 

The USDA, Agricultural Research Service, Pullman, WA 99164 has a requirement for a Freeze Dryer:

Minimum Specifications are:

•Needs to be able to hold at least ten tissue plates (L X W X H) 5" X3.25" X 1.75" (12cm X 8.2cm X 4.25cm) with at least 1cm height clearance above the plates.
•Must have trays or rack system
• Benchtop model
•4L sublimated ice holding capacity, no larger than 6L.
•Needs to be self-freeze dryer with manifold compatibility (combination lab freeze dryer).
•Freeze dryer must come with a drying chamber (with the ability to have a manifold in the future).
•Must be compatible with a 163L/min two-stage rotary vane vacuum pump OR the dryer must come with its own vacuum pump.

 Maximum size due to lab space restrictions: L X H X W Dimensions (D x L x H) 30" X 50" X 50"

Each offeror shall include their proposed delivery schedule (in days after award) as part of their quotation. Acceptance and FOB point are destination

Funding is not currently available, but is anticipated to be received prior to September 30, 2017.  If possible please provide offers with pricing valid until September 30, 2017.

Award will be made to the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable Offer.
