The project is generally described as three (3) one-story additions, (two 182 square-foot office additions, and one storage/locker room of 2,800 square feet). The existing building, the Fredericksburg Readiness Center, is a two-story, approximately 32,500 square-foot building in Fredericksburg Virginia. Exterior walls of the office additions will consist of load-bearing CMU and brick walls and steel columns. Floor structure will be a concrete slab on grade, and roof structure is steel joist-deck with a fully-adhered PVC membrane roof. The storage building addition will be a pre-engineered metal building with metal siding and roofing. Sealed bids will be received at the Fredericksburg Readiness Center, 1700 Emancipation Highway, Fredericksburg, VA 22401. Note that the front drive from Route 1/Emancipation Highway is closed. Enter the property by driving around to the rear using Williams Street to Greenbrier drive to Armory Drive. The deadline for submitting bids is 2:00 P.M. sharp, as determined by the Bid Officer, on August 30, 2022. The bids will be opened publicly and read aloud beginning at 2:00 P.M., on the following day, at the Department of Military Affairs, Building 316 Fort Pickett, Blackstone, VA 23824. All bids SHALL be submitted in a sealed envelope.
