The Infratec 1241 Grain Analyzer is the only, protein and oil, piece of equipment that is approved by USDA-GlPSA to provide these services.

GIPSA continuously tests and approves new equipment as brought forward by industry

The anticipated cost to the Government is reasonable based on Contracting Officer's industry knowledge and comparison to other laboratory equipment. None

GIPSA continuously searches the market for new products and has procedures in place to test and verify the information to bring it into use.

GIPSA is aware of no other manufactured equipment of this specific type/use. No other manufacturers have approached GIPSA to review their equipment/obtain approval.

GIPSA management would have to change the approved equipment list after thorough evaluation of other products if they exist.
