The Transatlantic Engineer District South (TAS) intends to award a contract for the Forward Area Arming and Refueling Points (FAARP), at Camp Shorabak, Helmand Province, Afghanistan.  The work shall consist of a site adapt and construction of the facilities for helicopters in support of the Afghan Air Force, in the Province of Helmand, Afghanistan. The project is an expansion of an existing ANA operating compound and shall include buildings, facilities, common utilities and applicable infrastructure to support the operations of the Afghan Air Force (AAF) Forward Area Arming and Refuel Points (FAARPs).

The project is defined as the site adapt, materials, labor, and equipment to construct buildings, roads, utilities, and other infrastructure to accommodate workspaces and lodging needs of 40 personnel.  The proposed site shall have (5) facilities on the site to consist of Munitions Storage Facility, Barracks, Flight HQ and Operations Facility, POL and Maintenance Facility, and Toilet Facility.

These facilities shall be site adapted and constructed from standard designs in accordance with current building codes, safety, and security standards and applicable to local standards. Site grading and drainage plan has been approved.  All utilities shall be complete and operational prior to occupancy. 


The applicable NAICS code is 236220 ($33.5M small business size standard). The solicitation will be unrestricted/full and open. The resulting contract POP is 240 days. The magnitude of this project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The closing date will be contained in the solicitation and any solicitation amendments that may be issued.
