The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock (NSWCCD) intends to award a firm-fixed price purchase order for a Stratasys Fortus 450 Fused Deposition Modeling Additive Manufacturing machine. This procurement is to be issued on a sole source basis to STRATASYS, INC. of Minneapolis, MN. The proposed contract action is for a Fortus 450mc System, an Engineering and High Performance Material Bundle, and On-site Installation for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. 

Award of a firm-fixed price purchase order is anticipated under Simplified Acquisition procedures. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit capability statements. This NOTICE OF INTENT is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all capabilities statements received prior to 05 June 2015 will be considered by the Government.

A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice of intent is soley within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A formal RFQ will not be posted since this is a sole source requirement.
