The USGS, Western Region intends to purchase on a sole source basis a Spectrofluorometer from Horiba Jobin Yvon. The instrument will come with 450W Xe source, and power supply, double Czerny Truner excitation with 1200g/mm gratings blazed at 330mm, continuously adjustable entrance, exit, and intemediate slits; UV enhanced ozon producing FL3 lamp and housing, front illuminated CCD, 200mm - 1000nm, controller and software, Si Photo diode detector. The USGS intends to award this requirement noncompetitively in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and the procedures of FAR Part 12, entitled Acquisition of Commercial Items. In accordance with FAR 5.207(c)(13)(i), other responsible sources that believe they can meet the requirement described above may submit a capability statement or quotation no later than the closing date of this announcement which will be considered by the USGS.
