John F. Kennedy Center Acquisition Division intends to solicit and negotiate with CUMMINS-WAGNER CO., under the authority FAR Subpart 6.302.1, Other Than Full and Open Competition U.S.C. 253(c)(1)Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services shall satisfy the agency requirements.
Cummins-Wagner Co. is the only reseller of this pump which was manufactured in 1967 -1968. It is imperative to operations that we purchase the exact same product.
Items being purchased are as follows:
1. Flowserve /Worthington Single stage, double suction, horizontally split centrifugal pump, Worthington Model# 10LN-18 ; Qty 1
2. 10" x 10" x 8" Expansion Joint/Flex connector ; Qty 1
3. 12" x 12" x 8" Expansion Joint/Flex connector ; Qty 1
4. Shaft Coupling ; Qty 1
The National Industry Classification systems (NAICS) code is 423440, and the size standard is $23M. No written solicitation will be issued.
All written responses must include an alternative solution, a written narrative statement of capability, including detailed technical information demonstrating their ability to meet the above requirements and applicable cost/price. The response must be sufficient to permit agency analysis to establish a bonafide capability to meet the requirements. Failure to submit such documentation shall result in the Government proceeding as stated above. Affirmative written responses must be received no later than September 30, 2009.
