The City of Safford will receive sealed bids on a general contract for the Firth Park Parking Lot Project, City of Safford Project No. 367-031. All bids must be presented on the prescribed forms included in the contract documents. A sealed original hard copy of the contractor's bid for the described work will be received by the City Clerk at City Hall for the City of Safford, at 717 W Main Street, Safford, Arizona 85546 until Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at 2:00 p.m., after which sealed bids will be opened and read aloud. Electronic copies of bids shall not be accepted, in addition, bids received after the bid due date and time will not be accepted and will be returned unopened. A Pre-Bid Conference is scheduled for Monday, April 13, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the City of Safford Mesa Yard, 405 W. Discovery Park Blvd., Safford, AZ, 85546. Attendance at the pre-bid is encouraged but not required. The Project includes the following Work: This project include will consist of the construction of a new one-way parking lot next to the existing ramadas located on the west side of Firth Park adjacent to 11th Avenue and US Hwy 70. Work will consist of grading, new concrete driveways, concrete curb, concrete sidewalk and A.C. pavement. Work may also include the removal and replacement of a block wall located at the south end of the site.
