1. Life support first aid service for events with the KSFB, events to be held at the Kentucky Exposition Center (KEC) and Kentucky International Convention Center (KICC). The successful bidder must meet the following minimum requirements: Provide proof of certification of all personnel assigned to work at the Kentucky State Fair Board as an Emergency Medical Responder or higher certification in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Proof of liability insurance naming KSFB as an additional insured and including the following statement: "in no way does the KSFB, its agents, servants, or employees waive their sovereign immunity in any activity covered". Provide at no charge, all first aid supplies and equipment including but not limited to: two way radios for communication, gauze bandages, non stick sterile, rolled, flexible or stretch gauze, bandage tape, adhesive strip bandages, triangular bandages, splints-various sizes, ladder splints, eye dressing or pads, crash scissors, tweezers, safety pins, thermometers, flashlights, disposable latex gloves-all sizes, bulb syringes for eye rinsing, etc., cold packs, clean cloths, anti bacterial soap, glucose, syrup of ipecac, resuscitation masks, back board, peroxide, alcohol, antibiotic cream, finger splints, tongue depressors, alcare foam, sterile water, blood pressure cuffs, stethoscopes, sterils burn sheets, large and small combine dressings, other supplies as needed. Due to the type of events, it is anticipated that the successful vendor would need to have a minimum of 20 trained and certified staff. All first aid personnel would be required to be familiar with KSFB emergency procedures and guidelines. KSFB reserves the right to contract with other governmental agencies to provide first aid services as well as advanced life support and ambulance services.
