This is a MARKET SURVEY / SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE, pursuant to FAR Part 10 (Market Research). This is not a pre-solicitation notice or solicitation for proposals/quotations.

REQUIREMENT: The Surface Forces Logistics Center, Patrol Boat Product Line, has a requirement for the acquisition of services associated with the overhaul of Fins and Rudders in support of the 110' class WPB Coast Guard Cutters.
This description sets forth the requirements for the overhaul of Fin Stabilizer, NSN: 2040-99-726-4768 and Rudder, NSN: 2040-01-223-2674, which are currently installed on the U.S. Coast Guard 110' cutters. This description also describes the minimum requirements for Receipt, Inspection, Overhaul, Packaging, Packing, Marking, Labeling, Bar Coding, and Shipping the to the U.S. Coast Guard's warehouse in Baltimore, Maryland.
The anticipated NAICS Code is 332710, Machine Shops.

Period of Performance: It is anticipated that one firm, fixed-price, requirements contract for one (1) base year and four (4) option years will be awarded for this requirement.

The following information / documentation MUST be included in your response:

(a) a positive statement of your intention to submit a quote for this solicitation as a prime contractor, to include: Name of Company, Address, DUNS Number, Point of Contact and Phone Number, Business Size for the applicable NAICS Code and, if applicable, your Small Business Status along with a copy of the Certificate from the Small Business Administration (SBA) certifying the company's small business status, and
(b) evidence of experience in supplying the required items to include: Contract Numbers, Project Titles and Dollar Amounts, Points of Contact and Telephone Numbers. At least two references are requested, but more are desirable.
All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made for a small business set-aside. The solicitation for this procurement indicating whether this will be pursued as a small business set-aside or on an unrestricted basis will be posted at www.fbo.gov.
