The membership will allow NIST to fully participate in the standards development activities of the organization ensuring that government needs and The National Strategy for Trusted Identities in Cyberspace (NSTIC) National Program Office goals are included in the discussions as FIDO develops its specifications. FIDO specifications are widely adopted commercially, which is the primary focus of NSTIC. FIDO Alliance is the only vendor capable of providing a Government membership.
