The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to issue a sole source, firm fixed price purchase order to Atlas Biologicals, 309 S. Summit View Drive, Fort Collins, CO 80525, for a quantity of 100 units of Fetal Bovine Serum, 500ml. This procurement will be processed under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no other sources will satisfy the Agency's requirements because this validated product is necessary to maintain continuity of research projects, reagent development and consistency in laboratory results. No solicitation is being issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes/proposals, however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement which, if received by the response date, shall be considered by the Agency. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within discretion of the Government.
