No solicitation is available. This notice is released pursuant to FAR 15.201(e) Exchanges with Industry. The Portsmouth Naval Shipyard intends to issue a solicitation, on a sole source basis, to FENS Associates for the purchase, delivery, and installation of furniture components.

This requirement is the continuation of a prior furniture order, which includes all of the layout designs. This new contract shall provide additional furnishings to comply with the updated floor design and complete the installation of the hardware supporting the new design where the original contract is fulfilled to the fullest extent possible using existing hardware from the disassembly and new hardware from the original contract.  Deliverables include Knoll and Inscape Architectural Interiors name-brand furnishings.

Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. 

This notice is a market research tool being utilized to identify potential and eligible firms capable of providing these services prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of a Request for Quote (RFQ). Therefore, all interested parties are encouraged to respond.
