UV/Vis Absorption and Fluorescence Microplate Readers

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, (STREAMLINED PROCEDURES FOR EVALUATION AND SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS) as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation.

This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ), using the Simplified Acquisitions Procedures of FAR 13. The solicitation document/incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the current Federal Acquisition Circular: FAC 2005-64.

The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed-Price contract.

1.) DESCRIPTION Two (2) UV/Vis Absorption and Fluorescence Microplate Readers

2) PRICING CHART: All charges must be included in the quote. Any charges presented after contract award shall be unacceptable.

3.) Salient Characteristics of the UV/Vis Absorption and Fluorescence Microplate Readers.

1. Must be compatible with plates containing from 6 to 384 wells.

2. Must offer fluorescence with top and bottom reading.

3. Must offer UV/Vis absorbption detector in the wavelength range from 260 to 1000nm.

4. Must offer fluorescence excitation in the 250 to 600 nm.

5. Must offer fluorescence emission in the 330 to 600 nm.

6. Must offer a temperature control of the sample plate.

7. Must offer manageable microplate shaking.

8. Must come sensitive Photo Multiplier Tbe (PMT) detector

9. Must include UV Xenon Light source.

10. Must include program software with multi-user license included and data exportable to Excel.

11. Program software must offer graphical interface showing well position layout and legend.

12. Must offer a microvolume (>uL) analysis capability with the use of optional microplate platform.

4) Packing, Marking, Delivery and Shipping:

-All deliverables required under this contract shall be packaged, marked and shipped in accordance with Government specifications.

-At a minimum, all deliverables shall be marked with the contract number and contractor’s name.

-The Contractor shall guarantee that all required materials shall be delivered in immediate usable and acceptable condition, packages of both spectrometers should be sealed and of robust construction.

5) RFQ Instructions:

The vendor must complete the Pricing Chart provided in this RFQ. Responses shall have the following information:

- Identified with the RFQ number.

- The vendor must complete the Pricing Chart above.

- Responses shall be submitted to the Contract Specialist’s email below.

- Quotes must be for all the items requested or none.

- Quotes must remain valid for 90 days.

- Response Due Date shall be no later than: August, 20th at 12:00 pm EST.
