The 22d Contracting Squadron, McConnell AFB, KS, 67221, intends to award a negotiated firm fixed price (FFP) contract on a sole source basis to Meggit Training Systems, Inc. (MTSI) for an existing Firearms Training Simulator (FATS) System contract, which will provide all FATS software updates and training for McConnell AFB. MTSI's FATS system is already in place at McConnell AFB and they are the only contractor that can provide updates to their software, therefore keeping the current warranty valid. This purchase will be procured using FAR 6.302-1 and 10 USC 2304 (c)(1).
This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by 1:00 pm CST, 20 Sep 2010 via email or fax at (316) 759-1411. A determination by the Government not to compete the service based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government reserves the right to cancel the Sole Source award. The cancellation notice will be posted on FedBizOps. This notice should not be construed as a commitment by the government.
