Farmington Public Schools 2020 Bond Issue SECTION 00 11 13 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed Bids for the Farmington Public Schools, 2020 Bond Issue, consisting of: Bid Package #3 Farmington High School Site & Building Improvements will be received through Building Connected until 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 23, 2021 (due date). 1. Faxed and/or E-mail Bids will not be accepted by the Board. Sealed Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud beginning at approximately 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 23, 2021. The Bid Opening will be publicly conducted via a Zoom meeting. Bidding Documents will be available beginning at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 via Building Connected. There will be a Pre-Bid Meeting on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 3:00 PM at the Farmington High School - Cafeteria. All visitors to check into the main office. Thepurpose of the meeting will be to review the Project Bidding Documents and schedule and to answer any questions Bidders may have. Following the meeting, Bidders will have the opportunity to visit the Project site. The Pre-Bid meeting is not a mandatory meeting; however, Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend. A FACE MASK WILL BE REQUIRED TO BE WORN AT ALL TIMES DURING ANY PRE-BID WALK THROUGHS PER THE OAKLAND COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT MANDATE. ANY PERSON(S) NOT WEARING A MASK WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ENTER THE BUIDLING. All Bids must include the following sworn and notarized statements: Familial Disclosure Affidavit (Section 004205), the Iran Linked Business Affidavit (Section 004210), and the Criminal Background Check Affidavit (Section 004220). All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security, in either the form of a bid bond or certified bank check, in the amount of five (5) percent of the amount of the Bid, payable to Farmington Public Schools, as a guarantee that if the Bid is accepted, the School District is secured from loss or damage by reason of the withdrawal of the Bid or failure of the Bidder to enter a Contract for performance, Further, the Bidder will execute the Contract, provide the required insurance certificate(s) and file the required bonds within ten (10) days after notice of award of Contract but prior to Work commencing. If awarded a Contract, the successful Bidder may be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract price. Farmington Public Schools reserves the right to accept or reject any and all Bids, either in whole or in part, and to waive any informalities and irregularities therein. END OF SECTION
