FedBiz Synopsis for F18 Legacy Kit Procurement
The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Contracts Department, Patuxent River, MD in support of NAVAIR 4.4, Propulsion and Power, intends to negotiate a delivery order under Basic Ordering Agreement SPM4A1-12-G-003 on a sole source basis with Parker Hannifin Corp, 14300 Alton Pkwy, Irvine, CA 92618-1814 for material and parts (180 Kits) to upgrade the F/A-18 Legacy Air Starter Control Valve (ATSCV) to the -106 configuration. This kit replaces the piece parts within all previous valve configurations to the latest -106 valve configuration. The Government intends to procure under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Parker Hannifin is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and the only contractor with the requisite knowledge and experience of the current ATSCV required for this effort. The estimated period of performance for this acquisition is 12 months. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS; however, responsible interested parties may submit information in which they can identify interest and capability to respond to this requirement. Responses must be received by 5:00 PM Eastern Time on 17 July 2015. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is: 336412-Aircraft Engine and Engine Parts Manufacturing. The Government reserves the right to process the procurement on a sole source basis based upon the responses received. The Government will not pay for any information received.
