Air Combat Command (ACC) AMIC/PKA intends to make a sole source award to Remotec, Inc., in support of ACC/A7XE. The Air Force Explosive Ordnance (EOD) Counter Improvised Explosive Device (C-IED) mission requires the purchase of 56 each F6A robotic platforms. In addition, 56 each Coded Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (COFDM) radio assemblies and 53 Power Hawk forced entry attachments are required for these platforms. The contractor will provide all required services and equipment to manufacture the robotic systems, and will provide quality assurance testing along with the COFDM radio assemblies and the Power Hawk attachments. The source of statutory authority permitting this acquisition method is Section 201 of the Federal Property and Administrative Services Act of 1949 (41 U.S.C. 251 et seq.).
