This is not a request for quote; this is a notice of the government's intent to award a firm fixed price contract on a sole source basis to Remotec Inc. a fully owned subsidiary of Northrop Grumman, 353 J.D. Yarnell Pkwy Clinton, TN 37716 pursuant to FAR PART 6.302-1, only one source is capable of responding to satisfy the agency's requirements. The Washington Headquarters Service, Acquisition Directorate (WHS/AD) intends to purchase F6 Andros parts and services, manufactured by Remotec, Inc. on a sole source basis on FedBizOpps in order to upgrade the current robotic platform from F6A to F+. Remotec, Inc. is the sole authorized provider of the software and parts required to fullfill this requirement.

This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotations, however interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement by 13 April 2012, 8:00 AM, EST by e-mail to [email protected]. A determination by the Government not to compete the contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. See attached Statement of Objectives for more information.
