This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. 2840-01-418-6032, 0045791586, Nozzle Segment, Turbine.  This is a Navy CSI and configuration control item sole sourced to General Electric, (99207) Part Number- 6072T80G04, unrestricted.  FOB Origin.  Inspection/Acceptance: Origin.  Quantity: 537 each.  All pieces are to be delivered in 464 DARO or best possible delivery.  Solicitation issue date is anticipated to be 8/21/12 with a closing date of 9/21/12.  The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial, applies to this acquisition and a statement regarding any addenda to the provision.  The provision at 52.212-2 regarding Evaluation of Commercial Items is applicable.  The offeror must include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items, with its offer.  The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition.  The clause at 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition and a statement regarding which, if any, of the additional FAR clauses cited in the clause are applicable to the acquisition.

Note 22 applies (The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
