Remanufacturing of the F108-100 (CFM56-2B) includes full overhaul of unserviceable F108-100 engines with Quick Engine Change (QEC) kits and the CFM Propulsion Upgrade Program (C-PUP) kit. Engines are to be remanufactured to like new condition in accordance with GE, CFMI and Boeing technical manuals and each engine will attain specified Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) margin on correlated test cells before returning back to the Government as an F108-100A serviceable engine. Material for C-PUP kit will be provided as Government Furnished Material. QEC kits are to be provided by the vendor.
The estimated annual engine output quantity is 20 per year; a total of 100 engines over the course of five years. The Government reserves the right for a multiple award contract in order to gain production efficiency and enhance supply chain effectiveness, as required. Interested commercial vendors must be certified to provide whole engine repair/remanufacture for the F108-100 (CFM56-2) via the AFMC Form 762, Contract Repair Screening Analysis Worksheet, no later than solicitation closing date.
