The Government is issuing a sole source (Belgium Engine Center, CAGE B6898) solicitation on 11 December 2017 with a close date of 22 December 2017 for an urgent one-time buy for a quantity of 12 remanufactured F100-229 combustion chambers.  

Qualification Requirements do exist for this requirement; however, due to an asset shortage with critical mission impact, this one-time buy will be solicited as an urgent sole source to Belgium Engine Center per the authority at FAR 6.302-2.  

OMBUDSMAN (AUG 2005) An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition.) The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel.
