The USDA Forest Service is seeking proposals for tree seedling planting services on the Okanogan and Wenatchee National Forest, Eastern Washington using auger and hoe planting methods. The resulting contract would be an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity, firm fixed priced, performance based service contract with 2 optional year ordering periods. Task orders may be placed from date of contract award until September 30th for each ordering period. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies, except for Government furnished tree seedlings. Contractor self-inspection will be required in accordance with an accepted quality assurance plan based on the guidelines supplied in the contract. Typical stock types to be planted: primarily 1-0 plugs, 2-0 plugs, Q plug +1, and plug-1. 1-0 bare root, 2-0 bare root, 1-1 bare root seedlings may also be planted. Task orders will be based on the planting difficulty levels of survey units including inter-plants. Initial 2005 task order is the contract guarantee with subsequent orders placed over a three year period depending on the availability of funding.
