TIMBER SALE: Requirement consists of harvesting approximately 62 acres of loblolly pine and mixed hardwood tree species located at Dare County Bomb Range for the purpose of regenerating these forest stands. Contractor shall furnish all necessary equipment and perform all labor required for harvesting and removal of timber. Performance will commence on or about 1 Oct 07. The contract will include an anticipated performance period of one hundred and eighty (180) calendar days. The resultant contract will be firm-fixed priced. THE PROPOSED SOLICITATION IS SET-ASIDE 100% FOR SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this acquisition is 113110, with a three-year average annual small business standard of $6.5M. The successful contractor will be selected based on the overall Best Value to the Government. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 12 Sep 07 via Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website. To ensure you receive notification of changes to the solicitation you must register on that site. A site visit is anticipated to be held 17 Sep 07 at 10:30 a.m. Only one (1) site visit will be held. Prospective Offerors are requested to inform the contracting office by 12:00 noon on 13 Sep 07, if planning to attend site visit to ensure access to Dare County Bomb Range.
