The Umpqua National Forest requires services for hazardous fuel reduction in young tree stand plantations burned by fire in 2002 on the North Umpqua Ranger District. This reduction would be accomplished by removing a percentage of the dead standing fuel, trees less than 7 inches in diameter to specified spacing including the piling and covering resultant ground slash. The resultant contract will be an indefinite quantity contract for an estimated quantity of 87 acres. This project requires the furnishing of all tools, equipment, black polyethylene plastic, materials, supplies (except those designated as Government-Furnished), labor, supervision, workman's compensation, transportation, and incidentals to accomplish the work. Migrant and Seasonal Agricultural Worker Protection Act registration and a Oregon State Farm/Forest Labor License are required. The proposed project is a 100 percent small business set-aside.
