There are 232.4 acres to be treated and a contract time of 184 calendar days, with the anticipated start date of August 1, 2006 and anticipated contract completion date of January 31, 2007. The contractor must be registered with the Department of Labor under the Migrant and Seasonal Workers Protection Act. To go to the Spruce Mountain Thinning project site, from downtown Prescott at the Courthouse, go east on Gurley St., .5 miles. Turn south on Mt. Vernon. Mt. Vernon will turn into Senator Highway, go approximately 5 miles to the community of Groom Creek. Thinning units will be located on the east side of Senator Highway and the east side of Groom Creek.
