This contract requires the supply of equipment with operator(s) to perform mechanical services for thinning, slash treatment and brush release on tree plantations, wild stands, and past harvest units. The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies except those designated as Government furnished and incidentals to perform all work.The project work areas are located on the Chiloquin, and Klamath Ranger Districts of the Fremont-Winema National Forests. Specific units to be worked are unknown; however, areas that are typical of where slashbuster work will be ordered were shown in a prospectus prior to winter weather setting in the fall of 2003. Boundaries other than for easily identified cutting lines will be plainly marked by the Government with contract boundary tags and supplemented where needed with plastic ribbon when task order is issued. This will be an indefinite quantities solicitation. CORRECTION: This will be a HUBZone set-aside solicitation. Expected issue date is February 6, 2004.
