The Eldorado National Forest is soliciting competitive offers for the Rockeye Stewardship Project. The Rockeye Stewardship Project is located within T.11N., R.11.E., M.D.B.&M. Sealed â âBest Valueâ offers will be received at the Forest Supervisor's Office at 2:00 P.M. local time on April 24, 2006, for an estimated 10,142 Tons (1468 M board feet) of sawtimber marked or otherwise designated for cutting on 520 acres and 5 stewardship projects. Stewardship projects are: small tree (non-sawtimber) thinning and removal on 518 acres, brush cutting of 297 acres, machine piling 170 acres and optional machine piling of 143 acres and optional mastication on 113 acres. Contract contains Specified Roads with an estimated public works construction cost of $79,527.76 plus desposits for Road Reconstruction Engineering. The Forest Service will evaluate competitive offers submitted by offerors who present a price offer and technical proposal according to the information found under the section in the offer titled âInstructions to Offerors.â Evaluation factors for this project are organizational experience, organizational past performance, local community economic enhancement (including small business enhancement), understanding the Governmentâs requirements, and price. One award will be made to the offeror whose proposal is technically acceptable and whose technical/price relationship is the âbest valueâ to the Government.
