PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Midstory removal in active Red-Cockaded Woodpecker cluster sites – Project will consist of controlling the midstory on 221 acres by chainsawing, grinding, etc. to remove all stems less than 8 in. dbh. Work is expected to begin approximately February 2, 2004. PROJECT LOCATION: Oconee National Forest, Jones and Jasper Counties, Georgia ESTIMATE COST RANGE: $25,000-$100,000.
