This is a Stewardship project. The Bureau of Land Management intends to enter into a contract for the Plantation Thin Stewardship project with private persons or other public or private entities to perform services to achieve land management goals for public lands that meet local and rural community needs. The project areas are located on the Dead Indian Plateau of the Ashland Resource Area of the Medford BLM. The project will be an indefinite quantity, indefinite delivery contract for work to be ordered by task order for up to five years. The project area is 124 acres in size and work includes commercial removal of 191 mbf of Ponderosa Thin Plantation thinning, stand density reduction of White Fir, Douglas Fir and Cedar; slashing, handpiling, covering and pruning, stump treatments, tree planting, and road renovation and maintenance.
