The Eldorado National Forest is soliciting competitive offers for the Owl Study Fuel Reduction Stewardship Project. The Owl Study Fuel Reduction Stewardship Project is located within T.12N., R.11E.; T.13N., R.14E., M.D.B.&M. Sealed – “Best Value” offers will be received at the Forest Supervisor's Office at 2:00 P.M. local time on June 19, 2006, for an estimated 17,019 Tons (2532 M board feet) of sawtimber marked or otherwise designated for cutting on 451 acres and 2 stewardship projects. Stewardship projects are: small tree thinning and removal on 451 acres, brush cutting of 451 acres. Contract contains Specified Roads with an estimated public works construction cost of $121,343.00 plus desposits for Road Reconstruction Engineering. The Forest Service will evaluate competitive offers submitted by offerors who present a price offer and technical proposal according to the information found under the section in the offer titled “Instructions to Offerors.” Evaluation factors for this project are organizational experience, organizational past performance, local community economic enhancement (including small business enhancement), understanding the Government’s requirements, and price. One award will be made to the offeror whose proposal is technically acceptable and whose technical/price relationship is the “best value” to the Government.
